It's been a while since the Escalante got an update, and version 3.0 looks to be a very nice one. Retaining the same stack height (24mm) and place in the Altra spectrum in terms of being a lightweight, less substantial option, the Escalante gets some nice upper refreshes that should ensure a much better fit (more structured, less "baggy"). In addition, the outsole is more durable and robust while not adding any weight!
